Types of Pallet Covers
- Standard poly covers — LDPE bags that slip over the top of a pallet. Available in clear or black. Most economical option for dust and moisture protection.
- Gusseted pallet covers — Side gussets allow the cover to drape down the sides of the pallet for full coverage. Better protection than top-only covers.
- Shrink pallet covers — Applied over the pallet and heat-shrunk for a tight, tamper-evident seal. Maximum protection and a professional appearance.
- VCI pallet covers — Infused with vapor corrosion inhibitors for metal products. Prevents rust during long-term storage and ocean shipping.
Sizing Your Pallet Cover
Standard pallet sizes in the US are 48 x 40 inches. A common cover size for a standard pallet stacked 48 inches high is 51 x 49 x 73 inches (adds clearance on all sides). For non-standard pallets, measure length, width, and stacked height, then add 2-3 inches per side.
